Improving Health & Well-being

The Healthy Lifestyles team, based at St Peter’s Health Centre, is a partnership between Burnley Leisure, East Lancashire’s Clinical Commissioning Group, East Lancashire’s Hospital Trust and Lancashire County Council.

The team delivers the Burnley Encouraging Exercise on Prescription (BEEP) scheme, where referrals are supported in setting realistic goals to improve their health; working with them to learn about safe physical activity, coping with stress and healthy eating. They are encouraged to progress safely at their own pace, gradually becoming fitter to make activity part of their daily life.
